Water Rate Increase

What’s Changing?
1. Monthly Minimum Charge
Current: $21.20 includes 2,000 gallons
New: $25.00 includes 1,000 gallons
This means the new base rate is $25.00, and it covers only the first 1,000 gallons of usage.

2. Usage Rate
Current: $5.50 per 1,000 gallons (over the included 2,000)
New: $8.00 per 1,000 gallons (over the included 1,000)

How This May Affect Your Bill
Here’s a sample comparison for a customer who uses 5,000 gallons:

Usage                               Current Charges                            New Charges
Base charge                    $21.20 (includes 2,000 gal)            $25.00 (includes 1,000 gal)
Usage charge                  3,000 × $5.50 = $16.50                  4,000 × $8.00 = $32.00
Total Bill                                 $37.70                                                  $57.00

Why Are Rates Increasing?
